Iftar Recipes: Chicken Sticks

Summary: Throughout the whole month of Ramadan, every Muslim household tries to celebrate the Iftar with delicious Ramadan recipes, but sometimes one could get bored of the traditional recipes and want something different. So here is a fun way to serve chicken during Iftar. Chicken on sticks is a fun way to eat chicken and children love it. You can call it chicken kebab on a stick or fried chicken sticks. This is an easy to cook recipe and could make your iftar parties and Ramadan menu look even more delicious.

Ingredients

  • 500 gm chicken boneless (Cut into bite size pieces)
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp tamarind juice
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp curry powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • Some Wood Sticks
  • Oil for frying

Method

  1. In a large bowl, add chicken boneless, ginger paste, garlic paste, soy sauce, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, tamarind juice, salt, and  curry powder mix well.
  2. Marinate for 30-35 minutes in refrigerator. Now add egg and bread crumbs in chicken.
  3. Thread the chicken into wood sticks. Heat oil in a large pan. Add chicken sticks in the pan. Fry until golden brown from each side.
  4. Chicken sticks are ready to serve. serve hot with chapati and green salad.
