Fried Fish Tikka
Fish is the main ingredient of many Ramadan recipes through out the Muslim world. Since it is considered lite and healthier it is often used to make Kebabs and rolls instead of meat. Fried finger fish is a very common item on Iftar menu in Muslim households of India and Pakistan. Today we are making Fish Tikka which is very spicy and mouth watering. It can be served with mint chutney and fruit chaat along with other Iftar items.
Ingredients
- 500 gm Fish pieces of any type
- 2 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp ajwain
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp gram masala
- 1 tsp chat masala
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 20 gm flour (Besan)
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
Method
Mix ginger paste, garlic paste, ajwain , chili powder, cumin seeds powder, garam masala, chat masala, black pepper powder, white vinegar, red chili powder, lemon juice, salt, in besan flour.
Add fish pieces to the above mixture and marinate them for about 3 hours.
Heat oil in a pan, fry fish pieces on both sides till golden & crisp.
Serve fried fish tikka hot with fruit salad and mint chutney.
