Mushroom is very famous in India. There are many kinds of mushroom recipe varieties like mushroom curry, mushroom chicken, mushroom mutton and many more but Mushroom with rice or mushroom rice ricpe is very popular recipe in Indian restaurants and it is also a common recipe in North Indian cuisine. Mushroom Rice recipe is sometimes also called Mushroom Biryani Recipe. It is a very delicious recipe. It is easy to make and spicy . You can serve Mushroom Rice hot with raitaa and mint chutney.

 

Ingredients

• 1/2 kg rice
• 2 cup mushroom
• 2 tomatoes
• 1/2 cup yogurt
• 1 onion
• 1 tsp black pepper powder
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• 1/2 tsp ginger paste
• 1/2 tsp garlic paste
• 2 tsp red chili powder
• 2 bay leaves
• 4 cloves
• 1 inch cinnamon stick
• 2 cardamom
• 1/3 tsp cumin seeds
• 1 tsp green chili paste
• 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 cup oil

 

Method

Heat oil in a pot, Add chopped onion and fry until golden brown, drain and keep set aside.

In a same oil, Add cumin seeds, ginger paste, garlic paste and saute for 2-3 minutes on a very low flame.

Now add green chili paste, red chili powder, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, salt, black pepper powder, tomatoes, yogurt and cook 5-8 minutes.

Add mushroom and fry a few minutes. Add 1/2 cup water and cook mushroom till completely done.

Add rice and mix well. Now add water should be double the quantity of rice. Cover and cook till the rice is done.

When the rice is almost done, Add a lemon juice, fried onion, coriander leaves. Close and cook another 2 minutes.

Delicious Indian Mushroom rice is ready to serve. Serve hot with raitaa and mint chutney.
