Fruit Chaat
Fruits are important ingredients in most Ramadan recipes. Due to their nutritional value and easy digestion, fruits are considered the best option to break your fast with. In the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the world prepare different recipes specifically made for Ramadan. During this festive occasion families gather around during Iftar dinner to break their fast and enjoy delicious meal.
Fruit Chaat, is a traditional Ramadan recipe. It is basically a mixture of different fruits with species and sugar. There are many varieties of this recipe like Fruit Chat with Cream, Fruit and Vegetable Chat, and Fruit Chana Chat. Sometimes it is prepared without sugar so if you don’t want to use sugar thats fine too. Prepare this recipe during Ramadan and serve it with Samosa and Pakoray.
Ingredients
- 2 banana (cut into small pieces)
- 2 Apple (Cut into small Pieces)
- 1 cup grapes
- 1 cup Pineapple
- 1 cup water melon
- 1 cup white chana (boiled)
- 1/2 cup pomegranate
- 1/2 cup sweet potatoes (boiled)
- 1 cup mangoes (cut into small pieces)
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tsp chat masala powder
- 1/3 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sugar syrup
Method
In a large bowl add bananas, apple, water melon, mangoes, pineapple pieces, and black pepper powder. Mix them well.
In another large bowl add white boiled chana, boiled potatoes, pomegranate, grapes, sugar syrup, lemon juice, orange juice, chat masala, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, and salt. Mix well all ingredients and pour into banana, mangoes, water melon and apple bowl.
Mix well and chill in refrigerator for 10 t0 12 minutes.
Easy fruit chat is ready to serve. Serve with samosa and poakary.
